How to make 3D glasses

Want your own 3D movies at home? Aside from having the right TV or monitor, you'll need glasses or goggles. Let's see how to make them.

For watching movies in three dimensions, or to appreciate designs, pictures and images of volume (called three-dimensional images, anaglyphs, stereograms or estereoglifos), we use a pair of special glasses, fitted with two colors. Here we will learn to do them ourselves, so be forewarned if necessary or to spend a few minutes entertaining, with custom tailoring 3D glasses, and the desired amount.

To make our dimensional lenses need a mount or frame (which may be a conventional frame eyeglasses, or a ready-made from cardboard, plastic, acetate or other rigid dark), and acetates of two colors: red and cyan, red and blue or red and green. Also use scissors or utility knife cutter and universal glue or PVA glue.

On the Internet we can find various models and designs to build original 3D glasses. First, we must frame if you plan to be drawn up, can be described as two rectangles (with eye openings and the slit for the nose), at least one of them provided with two side legs, which folded inward at 90 degrees, with the necessary subject bends the ears comfortably. These mounts can be fully customized by materials, paints and accessories, but not recommended having details that obstruct visibility or having brightness (in detail, glitter or glitter) so they do not reflect on the "crystal" acetate , disturbing the observer. It is best to mount a black or dark color. Yes you can, for example, process them in batch, giving various paint jobs, details, reviews or write the name of each user.

Then, we need to develop the "crystal". Use boxes or cellophane acetate intense red and blue France, greenish blue or deep green (this is the traditional color in Europe), which are somewhat larger than the eyeholes in the saddle. For maximum effect, we can use several layers of acetate or cellophane for each glass, bonded together by the edges without leaving stains or bubbles in sight.

Once achieved the crystals, put a frame (outer) face down, and stick the crystals, respecting the red faces the left eye, and blue or green glass over the right eye. Already well adhered, I put the second frame (internal), adhering it perfectly on all edges. Remember to dry and ventilate the lenses well before use, so that the compounds glue or paints not hurt our eyes.

Usually, we have ready our 3d glasses, customized to our liking and special measure for movies and three-dimensional images.
